Remember the Titans
Rediscover your past... I think it's a good idea to reflect on who you were in the past once you have children. Uncovering the forgotten can inspire us toward improved understanding and grace when dealing with the terrible Titans now ruling our homes. Overthrow gently. We were once them.

Homeschool Curriculum
I'm so excited I found these two new books to add to our curriculum.
One is called, "This Is Not a Book" by Keri Smith. Every page is filled with creative ideas and experiments to try. Here are some examples:
The other is called, "Make Art Mistakes" by MoMa Modern Kids. It's a creativity sketchbook. Zachai, especially, is one to examine every rule and think outside of thebook box. So, these books will provide fun scientific and art-filled adventures every day.

Fair Weather Fun!
Here are some pictures from the Puyallup Fair this year. It truly is a fair-weather friend, isn't it? When the weather's nice, it's so crowded it can give you no attention. When the weather's dour and the large crowds disappear, the park is yours, and it will take you for everything you've got.
Yet we return year after year with high hopes, greatly anticipating the new arrivals of entertainers and exotic animals. This year Zachai got to ride a camel! That was pretty exciting. The acrobatic and somewhat masochistic high-rise performers were startlingly impressive. In fact, Zachai hid his face and Kaveh burst into tears watching the man on top of the 40 foot pole do a handstand. As the tip of the pole began to sway, we all got a little woozy.
Here are some pictures of the boys, the rides and the animals. At times I couldn't differentiate between them.

See you next year, Puyallup! No matter the weather, we always manage to make our way back to you.
